Games and group activities: Including balloon demonstrations,  thought-provoking food-label reading, testing your knowledge by matching products with fats and sugars, looking at obesity montages, playing the balance of good health mat games, pantry planning, brainstorming and the setting of healthy goals.

 

Food demonstrations: Make and taste a wide selection of healthy food and drinks, including snacks, zesty dips, fresh fruits and crunchy vegetables.

 

SMART goal setting: Everyone learns how to set goals that are useful, and that will help them to enjoy a healthier way of life.

 

What's good about me?: Partake in a dynamic self–esteem building session, promising to leave all the kids feeling confident and happy. Parents will also benefit by seeing the positive image boost that their children receive and the smiles it brings to their faces. 

 

Local supermarket tour: We all get the chance to practice our new skills, identifying which foods are MEND-friendly and which are not, whilst being guided through the aisles of a local supermarket.

 

MEND food fest: Select a MEND friendly recipe to experiment with at home, and present in a one hour food fest.  

 

Who wants to be a healthionaire?: Test your knowledge and see who wins the esteemed title of 'MEND Healthionaire'.

 

Group reward: All the children work together in a team to win an exciting group reward at the end of the Programme.
