Cooking up a fresh deal for our kids
A report from the Environmental Audit Committee at Westminster calls for children to be taught cooking and gardening in schools in a bid to tackle the gorwing obesity crisis. The report also recommends stricter limits on junk food advertising - including online where children are targeted by unhealthy brands. A spokesman for the Welsh Government said that they were monitoring obesity levels and added that although figures are still too high, they haven't risen over the last 5 years because MEND and other community initiatives are in place to tackle the problem
